From Pain to Purpose
Sherée Bergman is the founder of Heart to Heart Life Coaching, an author, ordained minister, and passionate advocate for emotional, relational, and spiritual healing. Her heart for helping others is deeply rooted not only in her professional training, but also in her own journey of healing.
Sherée grew up in the shadow of emotional neglect and family dysfunction, carrying wounds from her earliest years into adulthood without fully understanding how deeply those experiences had shaped her.
Like many who have experienced childhood trauma, she learned how to keep moving forward while parts of her heart were still hurting.
Those early wounds followed her into adulthood and influenced her relationships in ways she did not initially recognize. Her journey took her through childhood trauma, divorce, single parenting, toxic relationships, and years of chronic emotional abuse.
Along the way, Sherée also faced significant life challenges, including brain surgery, temporary blindness, divorce, the traumatic loss of her mother, and other deeply painful seasons that tested her physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
There were times when simply surviving felt like an accomplishment.
But survival was not where her story ended.
A Journey Toward Healing
Through her own healing journey, Sherée began to understand something that would ultimately change the direction of her life: what happens to us can continue influencing us long after the experience itself has ended.
Childhood wounds can affect a person's sense of worth. Emotional neglect can shape what someone comes to believe love looks like. Trauma can influence the nervous system and the way a person responds to fear, conflict, rejection, and abandonment. Attachment wounds can affect whom someone trusts, what they tolerate, and how safe—or unsafe—they feel in relationships.
As Sherée began looking beneath the surface of her own life, she started asking deeper questions.
Why had certain relationships affected her so profoundly? Why were some patterns repeating themselves? What beliefs had she formed about herself as a child? What had she accepted as normal simply because it was familiar? And what would it look like to truly heal rather than simply learn to live with the pain?
Those questions became part of a much deeper journey with God.
Sherée's faith in Jesus Christ became foundational to her healing. As she brought the wounded places of her heart into the light, she began discovering truth where she had once believed lies, understanding where there had been confusion, and restoration in places that had spent years simply trying to survive.
Why This Support Group Was Created
Sherée's personal experiences are a significant part of why this support group is so close to her heart.
She understands the confusion that can accompany narcissistic and emotionally unhealthy relationships. She understands what it is like to question one's own perceptions, to feel misunderstood by people who cannot see what happens behind closed doors, and to discover that leaving an unhealthy relationship does not necessarily mean its emotional effects immediately disappear.
Sometimes healing begins when someone finally says, “I understand.”
Sherée created this support group to provide a compassionate environment for individuals affected by narcissistic abuse, emotional abuse, attachment wounds, and unhealthy relationship patterns to come together, learn, share, and begin understanding both what happened to them and what they need to move forward.
Her desire is not for individuals to remain focused on the person who hurt them. Instead, she encourages them to turn their attention toward their own healing, emotional safety, boundaries, self-trust, relationship with God, and the life still ahead of them.

Turning Pain Into Purpose
Sherée cannot change the difficult chapters of her story, but she has discovered that God can bring purpose from even the most painful places of our lives.
The experiences that once left her wounded have given her a deeper compassion for people who are hurting. Her education and training have provided valuable tools, while her own journey has given her a personal understanding of how difficult the road toward healing can be.
That combination of personal experience, professional training, compassion, and faith is at the heart of this support group.
Sherée's hope is to provide a place where individuals feel heard, respected, supported, and encouraged as they begin understanding their stories, healing their hearts, strengthening their relationship with God, and moving toward healthier relationships and a more fulfilling future.
She believes that while the past may always be part of a person's story, it does not have to determine how that story ends.
